Welcome Letter from President of AISW Onlus

Dear All,

the Italian Williams Syndrome Association (AISW Onlus) is glad to invite you to the International Conference "Harmonize Williams Syndrome in Europe" that will be held in Rome, on the 17th October 2015 at the Aula Magna of the Pontifical Lateran University.

This meeting, which will take place after 15 years from the establishment of the FEWS (Federation of European Williams Syndrome), aims to disseminate the latest knowledge about Williams Syndrome, and as a meeting point for families and professionals.
The Conference will focus on recent discoveries on molecular biology and on clinical, neuro-psychological, therapeutically and endocrinology aspects of Williams Syndrome.
The European Williams Syndrome Associations will report on their activities.

The official language of the conference will be English with simultaneous translation into Italian.

Sunday 18th October, there will also be a meeting for parents and families "Real Fun Surrounded by Nature" at the Adventure Park Riva dei Tarquini in Tarquinia.
On this day, while the kids will delight in the fun activities of the park, parents will find several round tables where to discuss and exchange experiences.

I encourage all the families to spread out the news of this Conference among all health care providers, teachers, therapists and invite them to attend the event.

Welcome Letter from President of Fews

Dear all,

I would like to welcome each of the participants to the International Conference "Harmonize Williams Syndrome in Europe". It is a much needed event for the WS community as we continue to grow, as we are struggling to make every effort to improve the quality of life of all WS people and their families.

The world of WS is an area of challenges but at the same time a unique area, full of love, music, smiles, friendship. Events like this bring inspired people together to make sure cooperation and progress are made possible. We should all be very proud of where we are today and excited about where we are headed.

On behalf of Federation of European Williams Syndrome (FEWS), I would like to thank the team of Williams Syndrome Association of Italy for this Conference, for this opportunity to meet and exchange information, experiences and stories of life. Also, I would like to acknowledge their participation in the FEWS project since its very beginning and look forward to our continued growth together.

I would like to welcome all the speakers and to thank them for taking the time to come together in an effort to use science in the service of our children, to share with us the results of their work and thus, to give hope to all our WS families.

I wish you all a very pleasant and fruitful Conference.
